Eastwind Lake Placid is set to welcome guests Aug. 1, perfect for a family travel getaway. Located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains in New York, the second property from Eastwind Hotels will feature 26 designer-curated accommodations. The hotel lies close to Lake Placid’s lively Main Street.

The property was previously a 1950s motor inn. Set on 2.8 acres of land along the Chubb River, Eastwind Lake Placid occupies five buildings. The hotel boasts vintage Scandinavian design and postmodern inspiration. Open year-round, its 26 accommodations include luxury cabins.

The hotel’s food and beverage program offers guests a variety of dining options. Meals are available at the bar and lounge, while small bites, sandwiches and breakfast baskets are available at the reception bar. Seasonal outdoor meals are available on the open-flame Argentinian grill. For those traveling in groups, the property features a private dining space for up to 10 in a former blacksmith shop.
Guests will have access to one of the largest protected parklands in the United States. Take advantage of indoor and outdoor activities including a pool (opening later this summer), a library, fire pit, sauna, bike and skate rentals and weekend programming such as live music and fitness classes.

Reservations are now open ahead of the Aug. 1 opening.
Eastwind Hotels is set to open several other new properties this year, including New York’s Eastwind Oliverea Valley in the fall.
