Celebrate independence like a true Estonian in the city of Tallin, Feb. 24, 2018. Estonia’s capital city, Tallin boasts idyllic views of the Baltic Sea, incredible Gothic architecture and 13th-century buildings. The Penguin Parade begins later in the day when the President and important guests gather to celebrate the nation’s independence in formal attire. Carnival in Nice, France

The epic celebration of Carnival in Nice, France, in February comes just once a year and should not be missed. With the theme already announced, Kind of Space, the 2018 celebration extends Feb. 17–March 3, 2018, where guests dress in vibrant costumes, party and partake in local festivities. Watch the incredible parade and more than 1,000 live musicians, performers and dancers fill out the French Riviera.

International Chocolate Festival in Óbidos, Portugal

Set your sights on Óbidos, Portugal, in mid-March for the ultimate celebration of all things sweet at the annual International Chocolate Festival. March 10–April 2, 2018, the medieval town is transformed into a chocolate-lover’s paradise. Stroll through the streets sampling incredible homemade candies, expertly designed cakes and dessert showcases. Guests are welcome to attend culinary classes and baking and design tutorials by professional pastry artists. Cheer on the Chocolatier of the Year announced during the International Competition of Chocolate Recipes and pose next to chocolate sculptures and pastry-based artwork.
