The holiday season is a time to celebrate with family and friends, whether that means staying in or going out to explore Christmas displays. Throughout Pennsylvania, there are many notable holiday destinations, but driving through the countryside of Barnville offers a classic winter wonderland known as Koziar’s Christmas Village.
The Koziar family has brought Christmas cheer to families since 1948. William M. Koziar, the creator of Christmas Village, began decorating his home and property for his wife, Grace, and their four children. Surrounding neighbors began to praise the beauty and refer to it as the “The Christmas House.” Each year Koziar would add unique light displays and decorations — he even started to decorate more of the land. As years went on guests would come to see the elaborate decorations.
Today, Koziar Christmas Village has become a regional and national phenomena, with the third and fourth generation of the family continuing the tradition and making it a magical experience. This year the village is celebrating its 73rd anniversary spreading holiday cheer.
The Winter Wonderland tour offers an experience of a lifetime. During the tour guests can visit Santa’s post office, check out the Kissing Bridge, see a beautiful manger scene, take a picture with Santa Claus and much more.
Wander through the various buildings filled with indoor and outdoor Christmas displays. Browse Santa’s toy shop for unique ornaments, toys, gifts and souvenirs. Don’t forget to stop for freshly baked cookies and other treats in the country kitchen.
The Koziar Christmas Village is committed to keeping its guests safe and following COVID-19 safety guidelines
. Part of the safety procedures include timed passes and premium pricing for select nights. For more information on planning your visit, click here.
