And you probably, like me, know there are some really great places around the country to see those colors in all their glory. But America isn’t the only country where nature puts on this annual show. Japan enjoys plenty of the changing colors of the season as well, and it just might be the next “it” place for leaf peeping.
We already know Japan’s cherry blossom season is a great excuse to visit the country each spring, but fall is equally stunning and often overlooked. What makes it such an ideal destination is Japan’s varied geographies. Depending on which region of the country you visit, you’ll get to see the changing colors of autumn at different times throughout the season. This gives you a longer window for a leaf peeping experience and a good excuse to explore different parts of the country during your stay.
