Marriott Rewards recently announced the company’s newest endeavor to create one loyalty program, unifying the current three brands. The new-and improved loyalty program encapsulates The Ritz Carlton Rewards, Marriott Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest under one umbrella (official name to be announced), offering members easier access to higher-level rewards and greater opportunity to collect points.
Beginning in August, changes to the program include ways to save with 29 brands in 127 countries in 6,500 hotels. Members receive access to a swath of brands and services including no blackout dates, unique and personal touches during their stay and improved services like one account and one membership number to simplify the process.

One aspect of the program, the Moments Platform, expands with greater opportunities for guests to attend once-in-a-lifetime concerts, private shows, sporting events and incredible tours and experiences. The Moments Platform will be of particular interest to your family as it offers exclusive access to some of the most sought-after tickets in the business. The Moments Platform expands into more than 110,000 experiences and hotel stays — the most of any industry platform like it.
Earn points traveling, dining and exploring any of Marriott’s participating brands and accommodations. Rack up enough points for the adventurous family member to go shark diving off the coast of South Africa or nearly anything else on their bucket list.
For sporting families, there will be the unique opportunity to attend Team Mercedes Petronas F1 experiences in Monaco, Great Britain, Germany and Canada, or attend the NFL Draft as a VIP guest.
Avid music and entertainment fans can experience anything from attending an album listening session at Jared Leto’s Hollywood Compound to meeting legendary Ringo Starr in France during his Peace and Love birthday party; receiving VIP access to music events in Napa Valley; or getting the backstage treatment with Keith Urban during his Graffiti U World Tour.
If your family is more food-driven, you’ll receive culinary master classes with professional chefs on their turf or a three-day culinary adventure with Carme Ruscalleda, a critically acclaimed Michelin-star chef.
Clearly, the program is heavy on rewarding experiences and incredible destinations — perfect for the modern traveling family.
