Destinations / North America

Off the coast of Miami, Florida, with the Biscayne Bay separating Miami Beach from the mainland, the island city brims with culture and history, vast beaches and luxury in all directions. Escape from reality with the family and relax on the beach surrounded by natural beauty. When you get hungry for fresh seafood, stroll through town along vibrant streets taking in the local flare.

Stay

Miami Beach is lined with vibrant Art Deco buildings and unique architecture, paving the way for a fun and unforgettable stay.

For the ultimate in luxury accommodations and incredible design, book with Faena Hotel, Miami Beach. The 5-star hotel offers sweeping views of the beach and city while enveloped in 1950’s glamor. Enjoy art pieces showcased throughout the hotel and take the kids to the courtyard for a photo with the gold-plated mammoth skeleton encased in glass. The hotel boasts swanky style and eclectic entertainment at Sensatia, as live musical performances, acrobats and dancers take the stage.

Another top option, The Marlin Hotel is located in South Beach boasting Art Deco design and quintessential Miami colors. Built in 1939, The Marlin Hotel is a South Beach landmark and a must-visit for families.

The Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel is centrally located with easy access to the beach, downtown, Ocean Drive and other must-see Miami Beach attractions. Check out the spa, beach, pool, casual dining and slew of family activities by day before putting the kids to bed and hitting the nightclub, bars and live shows — all on the property.

See/Do

Miami Beach itself is essentially an art scene. From the eclectic blend of architecture, historic buildings and swanky modern-meets-retro vibe, the city is essentially made of art. Take it all in with a tour through the newly reopened Bass Museum of Art. Enjoy painting with the kids during family day on Sundays; make crafts with the little ones on Wednesday mornings, or give the teens a professional art lesson on Saturdays.

Ocean Drive is a top tourist destination in South Beach stretching from South Pointe Beach to 15th Street. The scenic drive is lined by the beautiful Lummus Park and riddled with top eateries and family attractions.

Take a photo with the family at one of the many iconic lifeguard stands on the sandy beaches along 1st Street, 5th Street, 10th Street and 30th Street.

The island may be covered in pools and surrounded by water, but few compare to the Villa Casa Casuarina’s Million Mosaic Pool. Take the kids for a swim in the 24k, gold-tiled pool designed by Gianni Versace.

One activity you may not expect, but the kids will love, some Miami Beach ice-skating. Check out the rink in Miami Beach EDITION’s basement and ice skate around the 2,000-square-foot rink, or check out the bowling alley complete with LED lights synchronizing with your movements.

Keep the family activities going with some light yoga on the waterfront. Head to The Standard’s Spa for some outdoor yoga to stretch out after a night of dancing and day of walking and swimming, and a Scrub and Tub treatment to unwind.
