For those seeking the perfect place to propose, for an easy couple’s getaway or just an Instagram-worthy destination to wrangle your friends and family for a trip, Palm Beach, Florida, has a setting for all of the above.

It may be the season for celebrating the ones you love and making romantic plans, but these locales are family-friendly and picture-ready all year-round. Check out this list of Palm Beach attractions for the arts, culture and views for all ages.

For the culture-seekers and nature lovers in your group, the Society of the Four Arts is a scenic garden center, perfectly maintained and surrounded by cultural experience venues. There’s the Society of the Four Arts gallery, library, botanical gardens and auditorium for events.

For the creative kids and future art historians, or those looking to dip their toes in the art world, the Norton Museum of Art has unique exhibits and rotating events on view. Enjoy the festivities of the Chinese New Year, or check out the long list of family-friendly events — some specific to your kids’ age and interests. The 50,000-square-foot space has been newly expanded and offers beauty both within, and out, as the venue’s expansive windows showcase the South Florida vistas.

For maritime history and endless coastal views, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum is a great stop for pictures, history and events. Get your steps in climbing more than 100 stairs to the top of the lighthouse for some of the best views in the area. Check out Family Adventure Days with waterfront fun and educational programs; free time to explore as you please and walk the beach; plan a luncheon with the kids; or reserve your spot for a special dinner with a view.

Plan your visit to coincide Autism Family Night at the Light for a free event especially tailored to children on the Autism spectrum, their parents and caretakers, April 24.

Calling all animal lovers and future marine biologists: Check out the resident sea turtles with a visit to Loggerhead Marinelife Center. The non-profit organization, located on Juno Beach, is a rescue center and rehabilitation clinic open to animal lovers of all kinds. Book a tour of the facility and see the sea life up close and learn about the center’s expansive reach in the area. For an active day exploring the grounds, head out on a hike through the trails on the property, explore the beach with your partner while the kids play or go all out with a sea turtle sleep over through the organization’s lineup of experiences and seasonal offerings.

There’s a lot more to Palm Beach than shopping and nightlife — although, that’s nice too. Check out the region’s more artsy side with tours, observing wildlife and showcasing the scenic side of the city.

It’s Uphill From Here!

Zermatt’s colorful ski boutique-lined Bahnhofstrasse, stylish apartment-style lodgings of every description and views of the Matterhorn from every angle make up one of Europe’s most family-friendly destinations — and it certainly does not hurt that it is proclaimed the “world’s best ski resort” by organizations like SnowOnline.com year after year. During the warmer months, meanwhile, you will see many family groups with kids strolling the shopping streets (sometimes alongside a herd of about 50 free-range Valais Blackneck goats around 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.), enjoying fondue and pizza at nearby cafés, and taking advantage of the many hiking and bike trails.

Hollywood Magic: Coming Soon to a Cruise Ship Near You

The movies and cruise vacations actually have a lot in common: fascinating ports of call, making friends with interesting people, new sensory experiences, the constant change of scenery. When you think about it, it’s no surprise many classic comedies and romances are set aboard cruise ships, including Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) with Marilyn Monroe, Royal Wedding (1951), An Affair to Remember (1957) with Cary Grant, the more recent and kid-friendly Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, and the long-running television series Love Boat.
