Disney families should keep an eye out for a new, nature-inspired Disney resort. Planned for completion in 2022, it’s not too early to begin planning a visit to the 16th Disney Vacation Club property. The mix-use resort will combine luxury villas and unique accommodations with thrilling family fun and, of course, a Disney-level attention to detail.

Nestled between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and along Bay Lake’s shore, the new project is just one of three properties coming to Walt Disney World Resort. The resort neighborhood will welcome guests to its more than 1,700 new properties and villas over the next four years. The new resort, soon to be named, will house 900 of those guestrooms alone.

While these new properties bring all the expected, from luxury Disney-themed décor, incredible service, innovative cuisine and resort amenities that have become world-famous, fans and guests should also expect new lands, attractions and feature elements they haven’t seen before.

Debuting ahead of the to-be-determined property, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is scheduled for 2019. Guests enjoy the resort’s iconic centerpiece, Lake Lago Dorado, from the all-new 15-story tower views. The tower isn’t just another pretty feature; however, it will house another 545 guestrooms and suites, new meeting spaces and impressive concierge space.

Take in the incredible views below, dining at a table on the beautiful new rooftop space and enjoy all the new and reimagined spaces in the remaining guestrooms of the resort — all 1,800 of them.

Meanwhile, over in Epcot, the 15th Disney Vacation Club property, Disney’s Riviera Resort plans a 2019 opening. The 300 new rooms, boasting unique accommodation styles, will connect Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot by way of Disney Skyliner. This opening is highly anticipated for a number of reasons, one being it’s the first of its kind since 2004.

Disney fans already know Walt Disney World will see a new world, Pandora – The World of Avatar, featuring all your favorite characters from the film. The new park will debut in Animal Kingdom, on the heels of Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

If that’s not enough to book a Walt Disney World vacation in the coming years, think Star Wars. Connected to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a completely innovative Star Wars-inspired destination will be built and, as the first-of-its-kind, the resort will be completely immersive and as authentic as is gets. Guests will board their starships, interact with beloved characters and go on adventures to a galaxy far, far away.
