The end of summer might be in sight, but there’s still time for a family vacation full of fun and ways to make memories together. Québec, an easy reach from many major U.S. cities by plane, has plenty of ways to entertain the family.
The province is home to 22 tourist regions, which covers quite a bit of ground. You’ll find 23 national parks, more than 200 hiking trails and 13 wildlife reserves, which means you’ve got endless opportunities to enjoy the warm weather while it’s still around. Canada is known for its beautiful landscapes, and with this many ways to experience it, you’re sure to find something for every member of the family.
A few of the highlights are a brand-new, 217-mile gravel biking trail known as La Grande Boréale in the Laurentians region, as well as newly reopened Onondaga submarine, the Pointe-au-Père maritime historic site in the Bas-Sant-Laurent region (it’s one of the few submarines open for public visitation in all of Canada).
The Bioparc Wildlife Park in Gaspésie received lots of upgrades, along with a new species for the park. Percé UNESCO Geoparc celebrates its 10th anniversary of preserving and sharing 500 million years of natural history.
