The ultra-luxurious Belmond brand offers several family-tailored travel experiences in the coming months.
At Belmond Napasai in Koh Samui, young travelers can explore the My First Job program, teaming with the hotel’s head chef to create chocolate roses or with the bartender to blend local ingredients for papaya and coconut mocktails. If your child’s adolescent aspirations aren’t quite in the culinary realm, a local expert is available to give them a hands-on lesson in the art of Thai dance.

Similarly, at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, young chefs are invited to attend the Michelin-star chef Raymond Blanc’s Cookery School for either a half- or full-day adult and children’s cooking course. Other children’s activities at the property include treasure hunts, gardening experiences and letter-writing to the hotel’s teddy bear chef.

If you have a Paddington fan in the family, the Peruvian Belmond properties offer the new A Bear’s Life experiences, for four- or seven-night stays. The itinerary is filled with family-friendly activities, from bear-shaped cookie making to a movie night under the stars. You don’t have to head to Peru to experience Paddington with Belmond, though; the brand also offers Paddington-themed afternoon tea journeys on the Belmond British Pullman train.
If mom or dad needs a spa treatment, but you also need to bring the kiddo along, Belmond Reid’s Palace’s wellness center provides kid-friendly experiences such as its Angelsense therapy, a massage that improves sleep quality and strengthens the immune system. The property also offers an exclusive family experience, which includes 50 percent off a second guestroom when you stay five nights with daily breakfast and three complimentary dinners for children under 12.
At the Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado, young explorers enjoy alfresco art classes using local art materials, feeding the on-site baby alpacas and outdoor movie nights (complete with popcorn waiter service and a dessert bar).

For adult and multigenerational travelers, Belmond offers nearly endless experiences as well. Thanks to a new partnership with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, properties in Peru, Brazil and Botswana host intimate concerts throughout this year and next.
Likewise, at Belmond Hotel Splendido, after-hours private concerts are offered at the Abbey of San Fruttuoso, alongside tours of the abbey’s cloisters and vaults and courtyard cocktails.
Wine aficionados enjoy an exemplary tasting experiencing on the Belmond Amaryllis, with the Grand Cru itinerary, featuring all 33 Grand Crus. Guests are given exclusive access to vineyards at Puligny Montrachet and a private dinner in the cellars of Domaine Droughin-Laroze.
