Sugartooth Tours created a destination tour of Manhattan called Village to Village Cupcake and Cookie Crawl.

The tour, launched in November, puts an end to the debate over which is better — cupcakes or cookies — by serving plenty of both in settings around the city. The way it works is licensed tour guides will lead you and your family on a trek across lower Manhattan — from the East Village to the West Village — stopping at some of the best cookie and cupcake destinations the city has to offer and all while enjoying New York’s festive holiday decorations.

Sugartooth Tours specializes in walking dessert food tours in New York City that combine culinary and cultural history with the best desserts in the city. On a Sugartooth tour, guides will forgo big chain bakeshops in favor of the city’s best hidden bakeries and off-the-beaten-path, artisanal shops where the locals go.

Guides dish out equal helpings of delicious desserts with the city’s cultural and culinary history, and guests leave with a full stomach and newfound knowledge of NYC’s best bakeries. The tours are a good fit for all ages, and for locals and visitors to the Big Apple alike.

“This new tour has been on our radar to create for some time now,” said co-founder Sarah Morgan. “We start in the East Village and cover about two miles on foot at a leisurely pace, finishing up in the West Village. We keep our tours small [from three to 16 guests], so our tours are conversational and you truly get a personalized experience.”

The Village to Village Cupcake and Cookie Crawl is slated to run Fridays and Saturdays at 3 p.m. and by request for private groups.
