Located in Estes Park, Colorado, The Stanley Hotel was the inspiration for the Overlook Hotel in Stephen King’s famous novel, The Shining — so, say no more. Although you probably won’t encounter any creepy twins in the hallway, you may see the owner, Freelan Oscar Stanley and his wife, Flora, wandering the hallways. If you are really looking for some paranormal activity, check in to one of the “spirited” rooms.
The Jekyll Island Club Resort is reported to be haunted by a few spirits of old guests and hotel workers. Every year the hotel hosts a Ghost Hunt Weekend where visitors can spend the weekend listening to hair-raising ghost stories, paranormal activity experiences and more. This year, the weekend falls over Halloween, the perfect time for this experience.

Spend a spooky weekend at the Historic Hotel Bethlehem, located in Pennsylvania. Four spirits are rumored to roam the hallways. For your best chances of encountering a lost soul, book the “room with a boo,” room 932 located on the ninth floor.
