Multigenerational

While things are slowly starting to return to normal, we still have to be careful when it comes to gatherings and celebrations. With Easter is right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about your plans. If you are planning to celebrate at home, here are some tips to make it the best one yet!

Dye Easter Eggs

One of the most well-known Easter traditions is dying eggs. Hard boil a dozen or so eggs, grab a dying kit from a local store and set it up for fun. Most egg dying kits come with a wax pencil to write and decorate the eggs, dye tablets, egg stands and more. Once you’re done dying the eggs, save them for later to eat or just keep them for decoration.

Easter Egg Hunts

Another classic Easter Sunday event is an Easter egg hunt. You can use the eggs you’ve dyed or get plastic eggs where you can put candy, money or other treasures inside of it. To make it fair for all the kids, have them collect a certain color egg and put equal prizes in each color. If a competition is more your speed, see who can collect the most eggs.

If you have older kids over the age of 21, instead of hiding eggs, hide a six pack of their favorite beer, cider or seltzer around the yard or house and have them hunt for that.

Bunny Hop Race

Head outside for a friendly race, grab a pillow case and hop like a bunny to the finish line – see who has the best hopping skills to get to the end the fastest.

Get Dressed up and Take a Picture

Even if you aren’t going to church or brunch, still get dressed up in your Easter Sunday best and take family pictures. It might not be the same as every year but that doesn’t mean you still can’t document it!
