A groundbreaking new marine attraction, OceanÈire, was recently announced in Dublin, Ireland, promising to redefine family entertainment, marine research and conservation in Ireland. While a debut date and specific location has yet to be revealed, OceanÉire already unveiled several details of the multimillion-dollar aquarium.
The project aims to go beyond the traditional aquarium model, featuring immersive technologies, world-class marine habitats and unreal tunnels where ocean meets sky. Visitors can expect engaging storytelling, digital exhibits bringing the deep sea to life and ocean-inspired culinary dining.
The aquarium will also offer conservation education classes and workshops to teach young visitors about the importance of protecting our seas, as well as hands-on experiences designed for the whole family.
OceanÉire expects to draw more than 700,000 visitors yearly and educate the public on general marine life, as well as specific species in and around Ireland. From whales to dolphins, seals to basking sharks, lobsters and crabs to puffins, Ireland’s waters and coastlines are rich with life.
In addition to tourism, OceanÉire is, according to the official website, “… built on a foundation of sustainability and research. The facility will serve as a hub for advancing marine science, inspiring ocean stewardship through conservation education, and collaborating with research institutions to deepen the understanding of ocean ecosystems.”
More details will be revealed later this year and into 2027.
