Multigenerational

With back to school commercials all over TV, the school year will be here before we know it. Now is the time to make the most of the rest of the summer. Before the kids head back to school, give them an end of the summer they will never forget. Here is a list of activities that will help.

Camp in the Backyard

Whether you set up a tent, sleep on the trampoline or under the stars in sleeping bags, camping in the backyard is a summer must. Throughout the night, roast marshmallows by the fire, find constellations in the stars, watch movies outside and tell scary stories.

Pool Boat Races

Have the kids invite friends over for a cardboard boat race in the pool. Split kids into teams, give them cardboard and tape and have them build boats to race in the pool. Each team has to pick someone to go in the boat and navigate the water to be the first one to make it across the pool without sinking.

Build a Fort

For the rainy days of summer, gather pillows, blankets and whatever else you can to build the ultimate inside fort. Once it’s built, snuggle into it and break out the movie collection, or binge watch your favorite shows or movies on Netflix.

Backyard Obstacle Course

Get the kids outside and moving by building an obstacle course in your backyard. Whether it is on the easier side or more of an American Ninja Warrior obstacle course, the kids will have the time of their lives navigating their way through it.

Water Balloon Baseball Game

Instead of having a regular wiffleball or baseball game or a simple water balloon fight, mix the two together and have a water balloon baseball game. Get a bucket filled with water balloons, use old towels as bases and a plastic bat and play ball!
