As the world continues to recover from COVID-19, it can be hard to keep up with ever-changing travel guidelines and restrictions, especially when planning family travel. If you’re headed to Fiji to refresh and rejuvenate, familiarize yourself with the latest guidelines so nothing derails your vacation plans.
Fiji is ready to welcome travelers back to explore its sun-drenched beaches and lush forests while enjoying the laid-back island lifestyle. The latest guidelines are designed to make travel enjoyable and hassle-free, allowing you to spend your time relaxing and enjoying your trip.
All travelers aged 16 and older must show proof of full vaccination and must possess travel insurance that offers coverage for COVID-19. While Fiji does not currently require travelers to take a COVID-19 test before traveling to the country if they are fully vaccinated, it is recommended. Upon arrival, however, a Rapid Antigen Test, which can be done at your hotel, is required within 48 hours for all travelers 12 and older and must be booked prior to your travels.
If you have tested positive within 30 days, you will need to provide a negative PCR or RAT along with a letter from a physician stating you are fit to fly. This letter needs to include the date of your positive test, the date your symptoms began and ceased and the date your isolation ended.
Each traveler will be required to show proof of vaccination, travel insurance and a pre-booking for the RAT prior to boarding their flight.
Once in Fiji, there are no restrictions during the first 48 hours while waiting to take your RAT. Unvaccinated children under the age of 16 are free to travel with their families during their entire stay.
