Always wanted to take the kids on a Disney cruise but didn’t want to shell out a bundle on airfare to get to the port? Good news: Disney Cruise Line is expanding its San Diego season and is returning to popular tropical ports from both coasts in early 2019.

The Disney Wonder will return to San Diego for an extended, two-month season — March to May 2019 — with a variety of cruises to Baja and the Mexican Riviera. Families can choose from two-, four-, five- and seven-night voyages, and on-shore activities range from a day at the beach to watersports, zip lining in the jungle and even cliff diving.
Most sailings to Mexico’s Baja Peninsula call on Ensenada, known for its turquoise water and rugged mountainous terrain. Two-night cruises to Ensenada depart on Fridays from San Diego, offering a weekend getaway for families short on vacation time.
Four- and five-night Baja itineraries include a visit to Cabo San Lucas, while seven-night sailings to the Mexican Riviera add snorkeling and scuba diving locations in Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan.

In January, three special Disney Wonder
cruises from San Juan sail to the Southern Caribbean on a choice of sailings. The Disney Wonder will arrive in San Juan after a five-night journey departing Jan. 9, from Galveston, Texas, and will sail to Port Canaveral, Fla., an hour away from Walt Disney World Resort.
Families looking to sail to the Bahamas and the Caribbean from Port Canaveral will have three Disney ships from which to choose, offering three-, four- and seven- night itineraries. Every sailing includes a day at Castaway Cay, open exclusively to Disney Cruise Line passengers.
The Disney Fantasy continues to sail seven-night Caribbean voyages, with Eastern Caribbean itineraries visiting the Virgin Islands of Tortola and St. Thomas, and Western Caribbean cruises calling on Cozumel, Mexico, Grand Cayman and Falmouth.
The Disney Dream embarks on three- and four-night Bahamian cruises to Nassau and Castaway Cay, and the Disney Wonder will alternate similar three- and four-night itineraries throughout February.
Meanwhile, to kick off 2019, the Disney Magic will continue sailing from Miami with four- and five-night voyages to the Bahamas, plus five-night Western Caribbean cruises. All of the Disney Magic sailings will include calls at Castaway Cay, and the Bahamian itineraries also include Nassau and Key West, Fla., while the Western Caribbean itineraries stop in Grand Cayman or Cozumel.
