Gili Lankanfushi provides the perfect environment for first-timers to hit the waves, with more experienced teens and adults able to reach a more challenging set of waves just a short boat ride away.

On shore, kids can enjoy Zumba and yoga on the beach, as well as enjoy bike rides with Mr/Ms Friday. Families can take part in tic-tac-toe or even see how far they can go in a badminton tournament. And what could get beachier than a sandcastle-building competition? In the evenings, a jungle cinema awaits, allowing families to enjoy a good movie accompanied by popcorn, snacks and mocktails.
Local Culture
Gili Lankanfushi’s “Local Hour” takes place daily and features a range of educational activities for the whole family. Activities include Dhivehi Bas Maldivian language lessons, Thoshaali Maldivian handicrafts and Bodu Beru sessions to learn to play traditional drums. During Thimaaveshi environment hour, young and aspiring ecologists learn about local marine life from a resident marine biologist and hear about sustainability measures the resort takes to protect the environment. Kids can even craft their own ocean origami as they learn.
Older kids and parents can take part in the property’s Coral Lines conservation project to learn about coral reef restoration and rehabilitation, as well as visit the nursing coral on ropes and even adopt a coral. Families can also head to the resort’s organic garden and take part in a gardening session.

Foodie Fun
From family picnics to cupcake decorating classes to chocolate tasting and ice cream tasting, every family member will leave with a fully belly and smile. Kids have the chance to whip up their own mocktail or healthy juice at Overwater Bar or take part in a pizza-making session at Kashiveli.
