Cirque de Paris Brings the Big Top to Princeton

Europe’s most famous circus family descends upon Princeton, New Jersey, with an all-new, exclusive show that will never be back in the United States. Running Aug. 20–Sept. 7 Under the Big Top at MarketFair in Princeton, Cirque de Paris delivers intrigue, magic, family fun and excitement for all ages. The show also travels to National Harbor, Maryland, Sept. 10–20, and Norfolk, Virginia, Sept. 24–Oct. 4.

The electrifying show will captivate audiences with its French flare and rich family history on stage, as producer Anouchka Bouglione represents the seventh generation of France’s esteemed Bouglione circus family. She has curated this all-new ensemble of Europe’s best circus artists, blending the traditions of the European circus with her family’s signature touch.

In 1934, Anouchka Bouglione’s great-grandfather, Joseph Bouglione, and his brothers Alexandre, Sampion and Firmin — known as the Four Brothers Bouglione — became the owners of Cirque D’Hiver in Paris. The family’s fame skyrocketed in 1955 when Hollywood executives chose the venue as the filming location for the movie Trapeze, starring Tony Curtis, Gina Lollobrigida and Burt Lancaster.

The 90-minute circus spectacular will showcase top performers in their acts, including the Supka Family juggling troupe; two traditional circus clowns; and Bouglione’s own two children, Noah and Alyana, making their season debut.
