As a part of its $320 million in renovations, JW Marriott Marco Island on Florida’s southwest coast just reopened its iconic Lanai Suites, closed since summer 2015. Just in time for this year’s summer season, the exclusive suites reopened and are ready to welcome guests.
The one- and two-bedroom suites (up to 1,200 square feet) feature a cabana-like feel with airy decor, spacious living spaces, a wet bar and a kitchenette. Private patios are steps from the resort’s white-sand beaches and pools, and are terrific spots to watch the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico. What’s more, the suites can be customized for each guest’s stay, making them feel even more at home during their stay in what feels like a beachfront cottage. Aside from the Lanai Suites, JW Marriott Marco Island has plenty of other accommodations in which to spread out during your stay, from spacious guestrooms to the penthouse and two presidential suites.

The beachfront resort lives up to its location with myriad activities to keep you busy during your days in the sun or comfortable if you would rather laze under the Florida sun on a chaise lounge or under a cabana. Go stand-up paddling or kayaking in the calm Gulf waters or get some speed on a jet ski. For a real treat, plan an excursion to a deserted island for a private yoga lesson and lunch on the beach — it’s an experience you won’t forget.
