Through Jan. 6, 2022, families can experience the many wonders New York City’s PaleyLand has to offer this holiday season. Run by The Paley Center for Media, PaleyLand is a beloved event featuring countless holiday events across four floors to get everyone into the holiday spirit. PaleyLand is open 12–6 p.m., Wednesday to Friday, and 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Advanced ticketing is encouraged.
Screenings of Holiday Classics
The Paley Archive will screen a curated collection of holiday classics celebrating Kwanzaa, Christmas, Hannukah and Three Kings Day. Some of the films include Frosty the Snowman, Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, A Rugrats Chanukah, A Rugrats Kwanzaa, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Dora the Explorer Saves Three Kings Day.
Holiday Character Meet-and-Greets
Guests can meet their favorite holiday characters at this special event. Characters like Frosty the Snowman and Snoopy will make appearances for photos with families and children.
Santa Claus and Menorah Photo Opportunities
Santa will arrive to PaleyLand for kids to meet him and take photos with him while he sits in his festive Paley Station. A seven-foot menorah will also be featured for special photos.
Special Star Appearances and Screenings
In addition to watching special screenings of films, guests have the chance to meet the stars. Guests can watch a screening of Disney’s Christmas Again before meeting Scarlett Estevez, one of the stars. Guests can also meet Gabby, from DreamWorks Animation and Netflix’s Gabby’s Dollhouse, in person. LEGO fans can meet LEGOMasters season two contestant, Richard Dryden, and watch him perform a live, holiday-themed LEGO demo and instruction.
Paley Express Holiday Train Display
PaleyLand marks a new tradition with a winter wonderland holiday train display. Visitors can take in this magical display and take a photo with the Paley Express conductor.
American Girl Stylist Demo
Visitors can watch as an American Girl Store stylist performs tutorials featuring styling tips and techniques for an array of holiday-themed American Girl dolls. Visitors are encouraged to bring their favorite dolls to participate.
