Before the season is over, take your family travel to The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. Kids rule the world at the Flower Fields this spring and, with flowers officially in bloom, it creates the perfect rainbow backdrop for a family day out. Here are can’t-miss springtime activities and deals for children you won’t want to miss.

The Monday Special

On Mondays throughout the end of the season, buy one adult ticket and get one free child ticket.

Kids Day on May 5

On May 5, head to The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch for a full day of family fun, including bubble making, balloon animals, face painting and more. Enjoy a performance from the BMX Freestyle Team 1–3 p.m. Most activities during Kids Day are included with the regular cost of admission.

Carlsbad Mining Company

Guests of all ages can learn the miner’s old method of sluicing water through boxes of sand to find polished gemstones. Sluicing can be done for $5 a person, but if you turn in your completed activity passport, you’ll receive $1 off.

Santa’s Playground

Just because it isn’t winter doesn’t mean you can’t stop by Santa’s Playground. Home to whimsical playhouses and gigantic mushrooms, both children and adults can explore Guard Shack, Doll House, Crooked Treehouse and colorful mushrooms.

Sweet Pea Maze

Test your navigational skills and see if you can find your way out of the Sweet Pea Maze.
