Massanutten Resort, in the heart of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, soon invites family travelers to experience its new and expanded Indoor WaterPark, as well as a planned new-build hotel slated to break ground this spring. This premier, four-season resort will soon be home to a waterpark and new hotel by early 2026.
The popularity of the resort’s award-winning WaterPark, a massive indoor/outdoor complex, will see a significant expansion of the Indoor WaterPark. The expansion sees the addition of two areas: a 6,000-square-foot space connecting the new hotel and atrium to current Indoor WaterPark facilities, and a 22,000-square-foot expansion on the other side of the current park. The atrium will boast cascading waterfalls, glass walls and views into the Indoor WaterPark, as well as a bar and breakfast area.

Two new attractions include a three-lane, headfirst mat racing slide and a family raft ride with one-of-a-kind light, sound and design features. The Indoor WaterPark will also feature an enhanced kiddie area with pools and slides designed specifically for little ones. Older kids will love the large wave pool. Other new enhancements to the park include an adult pool, cabanas, and dining terrace with increased food and beverage options.
The best part? You won’t have to leave the area to go back to your hotel. The WaterPark will be connected via the atrium to a new-build, 144-room hotel with flexible accommodations. Both guestrooms and suites will cater to larger families and smaller groups alike. The hotel also includes a fitness center, boardroom, 2,600-square-foot event space and more.
