Debra Bokur has written for Global Traveler since 2007, and served as the travel editor and managing editor at multiple national publications. Bokur is the author of several novels, including the Hawai’i-based Dark Paradise Mysteries series (Kensington Books). She’s received multiple Lowell Thomas Awards for Travel Journalism, and her work has been widely published in literary journals, newspapers and magazines. Dividing her time between the Colorado mountains and coastal Maine feeds her love of nature and adventure, and a fierce need to explore ideas and places.
