Some may think family travel to Camelback Resort, located in the Pocono Mountains, is only a winter thing, but the area thrives in the spring and summer, as well. Throughout warmer months, outdoor adventure seekers of all ages can take advantage of many mountain activities and air adventures.
Over the next couple of weeks, outdoor activities will slowly start to open to welcome the first guests of the season. Here are some important dates:
- The Appalachian Express Mountain Coaster will open April 8. The coaster features a 4,500-foot steel track with passenger cars zooming down the steep slopes of the mountain.
- On Saturday, April 16, the 1,000-foot Double Barrel Zipline will open, allowing guests to take the plunge down the mountain and zip through trees more than eight stories above the ground.
- At Euro Bungee, guests can show off their flips and tricks during a four-minute jump. This attraction is set to open April 30.
- Another activity coming back on April 30 is the Mountain Segway /UTV (Utility Task Vehicle) Tour. The tour takes guests on an off-road adventure through the forest, where they can experience stunning scenic views.
Guests looking to experience these adventures must buy tickets online beforehand.
Once you’ve spent some time outdoors, head inside to Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark to experience the new slide, Mountain Mayhem. This takes water slides to the next level with four unique, techno-centric adventures projected in the slide along with musical effects.
To make your stay easier, download the resort app, available on IOS and Android. Through the app, guests can book their stay, make reservations, plan their itineraries, reserve poolside cabanas and much more.
