Grande Lakes Orlando, the 500-acre luxury resort destination housing The Ritz-Carlton Orlando and JW Marriott Orlando, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. In honor of the occasion, the resort offers family travelers a special seasonal celebration: GLO Summer Nights. This summer-long event features weekly fireworks displays and special activities across the resort.
GLO Summer Saturdays
Throughout summer, Grande Lakes Orlando hosts special events on Saturday nights, including a spectacular fireworks display. Fireworks shows take place from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, with additional shows during holiday weekends. Head to Grande Lakes Waterpark on Saturday, 7–10 p.m., for an evening of illuminated fun. Float along the lazy river in a glow-in-the-dark tube or take a dip in the pool illuminated with neon lights. Live DJ performances take place at the park, as well. Additional kid-friendly activities include waterproof face painting, caricatures, balloon animals and outdoor games. Adults can take part in mixology classes and indulge in a treat from the dessert and Champagne trolley.
Grande Lakes Waterpark
Spend time at the recently refreshed Grande Lakes Waterpark. The park is home to a lazy river, slide tower comprised of three waterslides, an obstacle course, restaurant, lobby bar and V.I.P. fire pit lounge. The park’s 12 private cabanas range from simple lounge chairs to high-end cabanas with furnishings, entertainment consoles and private plunge pools.
