Experience the magic of the season in downtown Tuscaloosa with an outdoor ice-skating rink, festive programming and holiday décor. There’s also the Tinsel Trail, featuring more than 200 Christmas trees, each sponsored and decorated by local businesses, organizations and community members.
Across the river from Tuscaloosa, in Northport, is a unique holiday celebration transporting visitors to Victorian times. Dickens Downtown includes A Christmas Carol performances at Theatre Tuscaloosa, live music from local choirs and the 5th Alabama Regimental Band, traditional English Town Crier, Father Christmas, and festive open houses from local businesses and neighborhoods.

49th Annual West Alabama Christmas PARAde (Dec. 8)
Thousands flock to this exciting event, complete with festive floats, marching bands and community spirit. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. after the tree lighting at 5:30 p.m. on the Courthouse steps.
