Just in time for the winter season, TWA Hotel at John F. Kennedy International Airport opens its curling rink to family travelers. The rink is set up on the tarmac, near the 1958 Lockheed Constellation airplane turned cocktail lounge.
For those unfamiliar, curling is a cross between bowling and shuffleboard. Players take turns sliding stones across a rink toward the bullseye in a target zone. The quirky Olympic sport dates back to 16th-century Scotland.

Curling at TWA Hotel is complimentary and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. All equipment is provided. The curling rink is open on Saturday and Sunday, 2–5 p.m., weather permitting. The rink will be closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 in observance of the holidays.
Book the curling rink for your group or special event. Email events@twahotel.com or call 213 790 3730.
Beyond the seasonal curling rink, TWA Hotel boasts 512 guestrooms with views of runways and the historic TWA terminal, 50,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a 10,000-square-foot fitness center, a rooftop infinity pool, restaurants, immersive museum exhibits, and more.
