Don’t think a cruise with Holland America Line is just for adults. Aboard the cruise line’s Nieuw Amsterdam ship, a dedicated Kids Club ensures family travelers of all ages have a good time both at sea and port.

The Kids Club features programs for different age groups. For little passengers aged 3–6, programs include a variety of activities, crafts, games and theme parties like Dino-Mite Night and Ships Ahoy Pirate Treasure Hunt Adventure. This area also includes games and activities like giant Connect Four, painting, puzzles, reading and video games catered to the youngest of guests.

There’s also a Tweens program for passengers aged 7–12. Here, kids can take part in arts and crafts, sporting events, tournaments, and themed parties. Teens programs (ages 13–17) range from sports challenges to group games. Hosts for this program also put on exclusive teen events like Video Game Tournaments and Poker Night.
In fact, Nieuw Amsterdam’s teen and tween space is relatively new, featuring some exciting games like Skeeball, air hockey, pinball, foosball, and other immersive games and puzzles.

Kids with special needs are not excluded from the fun. All are welcome to attend Kids Club activities. Most importantly, of course, staff are welcoming and friendly and ensure kids have a fun experience. Safety is a top priority for staff, as well.
