Destinations / North America

San Diego never fails to entertain and, with CityPASS, family travelers can enjoy the city’s top attractions with budget-friendly flexibility. CityPASS is an online ticket vendor offering packages for the most iconic attractions at select cities for a great price, often between 30 to 40 percent off retail price.

The process is simple. Visit CityPASS online, where you can select your city and your package, with deals in 16 different cities and regions across North America. For each city, there are a number of pass options, giving you plenty of choices with how much you see and spend. If you are planning a visit to Southern California to see the sites, there are two different options: a SoCal pass and a San Diego pass.

Tickets are perfect for San Diego, where you get to choose between the city’s two biggest attractions — Sea World and Legoland. You can buy tickets for one or both parks, depending on your budget, interests and availability. With your tickets, you also get to choose up to three additional smaller attractions to see: USS Midway Museum, City Cruises, Birch Aquarium at Scripps, Old Town Trolley Tours and Maritime Museum of San Diego. Your options also include either San Diego Zoo or San Diego Wild Animal Park (you can choose one as part of your additional three attractions, but not both).

Different package options are not the only way CityPASS offers families flexibility. You can purchase your passes up to one year in advance, and they are refundable if you haven’t scanned your first visit within the one-year period, so no need to worry if your travel plans change. You have nine days to use your passes once activated, so you can work your attractions into other activities during your vacation.

Additionally, you don’t have to select your attractions up front (with the exception of San Diego, Southern California and Orlando, where you have to choose your main attractions when purchasing your tickets). You can make your selections during your trip based on what is available on the list for that pass.

CityPASS is a family-owned business, and families are clearly a priority for the company, which offers a variety of attractions in each city it works with. This gives families, especially multigen families, the chance to find something for every age and every interest.

Travel is expensive, especially when you are looking to enjoy a trip with the whole family. From flights and gas to hotels and food, the cost of everything is skyrocketing, and when you add in the cost of attractions at a destination, it can be tough to afford a family trip on a budget. Thankfully, CityPASS helps ease some of the load with great deals so you and the whole family can get the most out of your vacation time and have fun while you make great memories.
