Travel Tips

With New Year’s Eve celebrations looking a little different this year, people all over the world have to get creative with their holiday fun. With the family at home or away, create the perfect New Year’s Eve celebration to spend together or share virtually.

Here are some activities to help ring in the New Year:

Watch Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve

Every year Ryan Seacrest hosts Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, where he counts down to midnight with the help of some famous friends. Enjoy rocking performances and ring in the New Year while watching the ball drop. This year, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Cyndi Lauper and more will perform.

Make a 2020 Scrapbook

Although the year hasn’t been the easiest, there may still be some fun memories your family could commemorate. Print pictures of your favorite memories from 2020 and make a scrapbook for the family to look back on and remember the highlights.

Have a Game Night

While waiting for the clock to strike midnight, break out all your favorite board games and card games — host a little competition and see who can win the most games. But don’t stick to just one game, switch it up and play a variety, including some you haven’t played in a while.

Bang Pots and Pans at Midnight

Growing up, banging pots and pans was my favorite New Year’s Eve tradition. Right at midnight, grab some pots, pans and some kind of sturdy utensil and head outside to make some noise while literally ringing in the New Year.
