Multigenerational

Looking for a spooky experience for the entire family to enjoy? Should your family travels take you to St. Augustine this fall, take part in one of the city’s many ghost tours.

Ghost Tours of St. Augustine offers a variety of different themed tours. The tour operator’s award-winning nightly walking tour takes guests through the back alleys of St. Augustine at night. Led by a licensed professional, who holds a lantern light to guide the tour, visitors learn about the darker side of St. Augustine’s history, from haunted buildings to famous cemeteries. This tour runs for a little more than an hour and departs nightly at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person, with guests under 6 free.

The paranormal investigation of Old Fort Grounds delves into the historic Castillo de San Marcos. The tour explores eerie bits of military history, dark medical procedures and Native American history and legends associated with the fort. This tour also brings guests to the haunted City Gates and the spooky Huguenot Cemetery. The two-hour investigation departs on Friday and Saturday at 9:30 p.m. and is $35 per person. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Ghost Tours of St. Augustine partners with Old Town Trolleys to offer a ghostly adventure via trolley car. The Ghosts & Gravestones Trolly of the Doomed visits sites of tragedy within the old city. The one-hour tour departs from the welcome center and is $30.15 per person. To book, call 904 829 1122.

St. Augustine features more than 10 tour companies with ghost tours. This wide variety of tours allows visitors to find their perfect tour and see a different side to the oldest city in the United States.
