Millennials will remember it as the cool place to grab a burger and a t-shirt back in the day. But, like them, Hard Rock is all grown up these days and expanded from food and beverage with a wider hospitality profile. Parents (and couples who want to get away) will find lots of Hard Rock Resorts and Hotels with great all-inclusive values in destinations like Cancun and Punta Cana. This year, Hard Rock will also expand in some family-friendly and bucket-list destinations worth planning a vacation around.

In Europe, Hard Rock Hotel London is slated to open this spring, a property where guests can walk in the footsteps of Jimi Hendrix. The guitar legend stayed for two weeks and gave his final two interviews there before his untimely passing. The Hyde Park haunt also includes tributes to Diana Ross, Bob Dylan and Buddy Holly. Hard Rock Hotel Madrid will open in late autumn or early winter, bringing some kid-friendly fun thanks to the Sound of Your Stay music amenity program, which includes a Fender guitar or record players for in-room jam sessions with amps and headphones. It’s in one of the trendiest neighborhoods in town, near the Royal Botanical Gardens, the Museo Nacional Del Prado and Madrid’s largest railway station.
In the United States, by year’s end, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain should be open, as should a new property in the Big Easy. In Northern California, there’s gaming, meeting spaces, an outdoor pool and deck area and myriad suite options. It’s bound to get rowdy in New Orleans, where the new hotel is steps from the French Quarter. Guests in 350 rooms are welcome to the exclusive Rock Royalty Level and Lounge, and there’s also a panoramic sky bar. As part of Hard Rock’s health and wellness programs, the hotel has an outdoor pool, Body Rock fitness center and in-room yoga. Reopening in the fall after an expansion and renovation is Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, with an impressive, towering glass guitar body exterior. The outdoor oasis and lagoon provide the ultimate in lay-about luxury, with modernized luxury suites and enhanced gaming coming.

In Mexico, at the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula, Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos will join the brand in late summer, with all-inclusive accommodations and five swimming pools. The Roxity Kids Club puts little ones center stage, where 4- to 12-year-olds have a separate play space for jam sessions, crafts, games and concerts.
Further afield in Asia, Hard Rock Hotel Maldives
is set to open in early fall with 178 guestrooms, suite, and villas. The Silver Family Suite, a two-bedroom duplex for large broods features a master king bedroom, indoor and outdoor showers, a private terrace, second-floor bedroom with bunk beds and more, but there are plenty of accommodation options that all include luxury linens, a pillow menu and outdoor decks with balconies and sun beds.
