Jekyll Island, Georgia, is already preparing to welcome family travelers to its annual Holly Jolly Jekyll extravaganza, a week-long celebration Nov. 29–Jan. 5. Take the whole family to this seasonal event, complete with holiday-themed history tours of the island’s restored, Victorian-era cottages; rides in Ford Model T replicas; and exclusive Christmas shops in the island’s Historic Landmarks District.

Holly Jolly Light Tours
Enjoy a warm cup of hot cocoa or apple cider and embark on this open-air mini trolley ride through Jekyll’s Historic Landmark District, where millions of lights and handcrafted displays illuminate the area’s oak trees and Victorian-era cottages. Throughout the ride, trolleys play Christmas classics and invite passengers to sing along and spread holiday cheer. For a more luxurious experience, ride like a former resident of the island by booking a private Millionaire Motorcar tour on an authentic Model T replica.
Cold-Stunned Plunge
On Nov. 30, visitors can take a chilly dip into the Atlantic to support sea turtles on Georgia’s coast. This annual fundraiser benefits Jekyll Island Authority’s Georgia Sea Turtle Center. Visitor participation helps to fund sea turtles’ rehabilitation and recovery. Register here.
