Take Me on a Story to Morocco: A Trip Inspired by Arabian Nights

Venture where the caravan camels roam on the sands of Morocco. On this trip, families venture through desert oases on camelback and 4×4. Other activities include exploring the High Atlas Mountains, wandering the streets of Ait Ben Haddou and exploring ancient souks. A guide helps families complete challenges and enjoy unique experiences, including pottery making, learning astronomy while on a magic carpet under the stars and uncovering hidden clues in a proverb in a Quranic school. The trip spans six nights with stays at Azalai Desert Lodge, Road Caravane, La Sultana and Kasbah Azul.

Take Me on a Story to Oxfordshire: A Trip Inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

Enter the world of Lewis Carroll’s beloved classic in rural Oxfordshire. Like Alice, families can learn how to forage through beautiful forests and embark on a river cruise through Oxford. The itinerary also includes a storytelling session in Story Museum; an interactive tea party; croquet games on the lawn; and even a designed, bespoke costume from a leading atelier in the Cotswolds. For five nights, families stay at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons.

Take Me on a Story to the British Virgin Islands: A Trip Inspired by Treasure Island

Head to the Caribbean to live out Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel. Here, families search for buried riches with immersive underwater experiences and enjoy a private catamaran charter to the Dog Islands. Families also can stargaze by the bonfire and hear stories of how sailors and pirates navigated the seas. Other experiences include pirate school with sword-fighting lessons, non-alcoholic rum making, sailing lessons and a cooking class. This seven-night itinerary includes staying at Rosewood Little Dix Bay.

Take Me on a Story to Alaska: A Trip Inspired by Call of the Wild

Find your inner survivor in the Alaskan wilderness, the same landscape that inspired Jack London’s acclaimed novel. Navigate glaciers by raft, pan for gold with historians and fly helicopters and floatplanes to remote lodges and cabins. Like Buck, guests can practice their survival and outdoor skills with a customized survival course, ice climbing, rappelling and dog-mushing. Families also learn about the importance of conservation with interactive encounters with wildlife, as well as a storytelling session accompanied by a campfire dinner. For nine nights, guests stay at Sheldon Chalet, Winterlake Lodge and Hotel Alyeska.

Take Me on a Story to Iceland: A Trip Inspired by Journey to the Centre of the Earth

Chart the course of Jules Verne’s story in Iceland, where activities include sailing across glacial lagoons, swimming into the earth’s crust and descending dormant volcanoes. An expert guide leads guests through riddles and challenges designed to test the physical and mental strength of those daring enough to join. Families learn outdoor skill-building tricks such as fire making. Decipher clues with experiences selected from the book to explore otherworldly settings like the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, lava caves, Silfra Fissure and Jökulsárlón glacier. This six-night itinerary includes stays at Sandhotel, Hotel Húsafell, Hotel Kria and Torfus.
