London promises family travelers planning a visit to the city in the next few months some of the most phenomenal light displays. Countless hotels, streets and venues welcome visitors and locals to admire many dazzling lights this winter.

Head to this glamorous neighborhood to witness a winter wonderland of Christmas lights. Less than a 10-minute walk from the Bond Street tube station, Mayfair’s Mount Street will illuminate its 63,000 lights at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 17. Festivities starting at 5:30 p.m. lead up to the lights turning on, with market stalls, music, pop-up food and drink stalls and late-night shopping opportunities available. Also in this neighborhood lies Connaught Hotel, and this luxurious property plans to unveil its iconic Christmas tree on the same day.

See some of London’s most fantastic light displays with Golden Tours. With pick-up and drop-off at the London Eye, this bus tour brings guests by landmarks and street and shop windows, all adorned with lights, tinsel and glitter. Drive under the angels on Regent Street and pass Trafalgar Square’s Christmas Tree. This 90-minute tour allows guests to see the best of the city’s lights.
Famous for its Christmas installations, Carnaby welcomes a new immersive installation this year. Providing annual light shows and installations for 25 years, this year’s theme is Carnaby Celebrates. This year’s installation sees a combination of different light features, from neon lyrics from Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” to glittering Rolling Stones tongues to colorful palm trees from Carnaby Carnival. Other features include oversized robins, a giant snowman and underwater scenes from Under the Sea. The installation spans Carnaby Street, Foubert’s Place, Ganton Street and Newburgh Street.
