Looking for a fun holiday activity during your family travels to the Philadelphia area? LuminoCity Festival, an immersive wonderland of light sculptures and art installations founded in 2018 by Xiaoyi Chen, continues to grow its offerings and recently announced its Golden Holiday experience – a magical light installation celebrating the holiday season. This year’s festival takes place in Montgomery County, at The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks from Nov. 17, 2023 to Jan. 15, 2024.
The festival features an array of immersive holiday and prehistoric adventure experiences bringing visitors on a journey back in time to the world of dinosaurs. While going through Golden Holiday, visitors are transported into a winter wonderland where they encounter 40 dinosaurs, more than 80 light sculptures surrounding them, a decorated Christmas tree and a tent illuminating from 20 giant lights and life-sized candy canes. Visitors embark on an expedition to a prehistoric world with life-sized animated dinosaurs, cretaceous volcanic caverns and illuminated prehistoric wonders.
This year’s theme delivers state-of-the-art production bringing art, light and color to life through remarkable displays. Attractions to look for include:
- The new Golden Holiday theme with breathtaking large-scale light art displays and attractions. Take golden hour to a new level with one-of-a-kind, giant golden ornaments, gifts and candy canes
- Holiday Express attractions offering a wonderful way for visitors to become immersed in the light art experience while traveling through the park for an additional $10 charge per ride
- A 50-foot lighted Christmas tree perfect for a family photo
- Dinosaur Speedway rides where families can experience the thrill of racing around a prehistoric track
