MSC Cruises offers family travelers an exciting new cruising opportunity. In April 2025, The Harbour, a new family-friendly outdoor space, will debut onboard MSC World America.

Located on the ship’s open top deck, The Harbour is an outdoor park designed to provide guests a space where families can relax and interact. Together with Doremiland kids’ area and Sportsplex, the three spaces make up the Family Aventura district.

The Harbour features an array of activities and experiences:

  • The Harbour Aquapark boasts thrilling water slides and a splash area.
  • Jaw Drop @ The Spiral is one of the longest dry slides at sea. The stainless-steel slide takes riders down through 11 decks.
  • Little ones can try their hand at the kid-friendly rock-climbing wall.
  • The two-level High Trail Ropes Course spans 6,210 square feet and two Sky Rails, similar to zip lines.
  • The Harbour Lighthouse playground is modeled after the lighthouse at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.
  • Cliffhanger is the only over-water swing ride at sea. Towering 160 feet above the ocean, the ride features four seats and propels thrill seekers back and forth.
  • The Harbour Bar & Bites serves up complimentary grab-and-go food and drinks.
  • Head to the family dwelling area to enjoy ocean views when you need a break from the action.

Wichita: The Best Little Big City for Families

Wichita may be the biggest city in Kansas, but, as I walked around town, I couldn’t shake the feeling I was in one of the country’s greatest small towns. Perhaps it was the absence of all the things that serve as constant reminders you are in a large city. Instead of crowds, traffic jams and busy people rushing through life, I found clean, wide-open streets and happy, smiling faces — just the kind of place you want to explore with a family.
