Cruises

MSC Cruises will soon have a greater presence in Miami, Florida, when it homeports four ships at PortMiami’s Terminal AA, North America’s largest cruise terminal, for the winter 2026/2027 season. Family travelers will have access to the cruise line’s new LNG-powered flagship MSC World America, too. The terminal allows MSC to accommodate three ships simultaneously, including the line’s 7,000-passenger vessels.

Terminal AA, next to Royal Caribbean’s Terminal A, opened last April and will welcome MSC World America and MSC Seaside later this year. MSC Cruises’ new terminal spans 492,000 square feet and is capable of processing 36,000 passengers daily across three ships. The terminal boasts 18 biometric facial recognition machines for an efficient and speedy check-in process.

The terminal will also host ships from MSC’s sister brand Explora Journeys.

In addition to MSC Cruises’ expansion in PortMiami, the line also opened its new North American headquarters in Miami, further strengthening its position in south Florida as a beginning point for Bahamas and other Caribbean voyages.

Looking ahead, MSC Seashore will join MSC Cruises’ PortMiami fleet in late 2027. MSC Seashore is currently operating in the Caribbean and Bahamas, offering access to Ocean Cay Marine Reserve.
