Fairmont Del Mar’s New Year’s Eve experience will include a luxury suite and reservation for four at Addison Restaurant, an acclaimed and already sold-out dining institution. Throughout guests’ stays, a personal New Year’s Concierge will be available as well.
The hotel is also home to the Explorer’s Club, a fun area for kids to hang out, play video games and make crafts. Kids can also enjoy the warm Californian weather with a dip in the pool and an evening sit by the fire as fireworks light up the night sky.

Following a delicious meal, guests can join in on a lei making session where families can make fresh flower leis while learning about its cultural importance. The hotel will also host hula lessons where guests can try on grass skirts and learn the popular hula dance. The hula lessons will incorporate the history of the dance and how it has kept the stories, traditions and culture of Hawai’i alive to this day.
For those wanting to visit The Ritz-Carlton Maui before New Year’s Eve, the hotel has an array of events and activities to keep guests in the holiday spirit. On Dec. 28, enjoy some poolside fun with a water balloon toss and other fun activities starting at 10 a.m. At 7 p.m. that same day, dress in your pajamas for storytelling time. On Dec. 29, take part in the sand snowman building contest at 2 p.m. on Fleming Beach and be in the running for some fun prizes.

United Airlines Celebrates its First Class of United Aviate Graduates

Travel insurance company Allianz Partners recently revealed the results of its Top 10 Summer Travel Destinations study, just in time for family travelers looking for some inspiration. The team at Allianz analyzed more than 1.6 million flight itineraries of five–eight days in length booked between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Of those flight itineraries, 73 percent were for domestic trips and 27 percent were for international destinations.
