Family travelers and football fans might want to squeeze a trip to Pasadena, California, into their schedule, as the 2026 Rose Parade returns. The San Francisco Travel Association is set to debut its first float in nearly 50 years at the parade, which will have an official theme of The Magic in Teamwork. San Francisco will honor the theme by celebrating the people, places and shared experiences that unite the city.

The 55-foot float, designed and built by Fiesta Production Inc., will feature floral recreations of iconic landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge; Victorian Painted Ladies; a full cable car; and the Dragon Gate, which welcomes visitors to the oldest Chinatown in North America. Every part of the float will be created from flowers and natural materials to highlight the artistry, tradition and innovation shown throughout San Francisco. There will be more than 50,000 individual flowers on the float alone.

“Our goal is always to surprise and delight, and it’s an honor to showcase San Francisco on such a celebrated global stage. Our float will capture the culture, diversity, and collaborative spirit that define our city, and we hope it sparks joy and inspiration for parade viewers everywhere,” said Anna Marie Presutti, president and CEO, San Francisco Travel Association.

The 137th Rose Parade will take place in Pasadena, California, on Jan. 1, 2026. If travelers or locals can’t make the parade, it will also be broadcast live around the world (check your local listings). This beloved New Year’s Day tradition will feature dozens of floral decorated floats, marching bands and equestrian units.
