If your family is a fan of thrills and waterparks, it’s time for a trip to the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania: Camelback Lodge
is the perfect family-friendly getaway for families of all kinds. When you book a stay at Camelback Lodge, access the resort’s indoor waterpark Aquatopia with more than 12 slides, a lazy river, interactive play areas, wave pool and more.
When you enter Aquatopia, enter a world of fun! Start your off catching some waves in the pool; if you are looking for smaller waves, stay in the shallow end, but if you want bigger ones, head toward the deep end. For thrillseekers, head to the Flowrider, where you can catch some waves surfing or boogie boarding.
Next, hit the slides. If you are looking for less-intense slides, head over to Kartrite’s Quest. If you are looking for the thrilling, twisty and longer slides, try Paradise Plunge, where the bottom opens and drops you down a 60-foot vertical slide, or grab the family and take on the Venus Slydetrap!
Sometimes the waterpark gets crowded so, if you don’t want to worry about having to find a spot for the family to relax, think about renting a private cabana. When you rent the cabana, you will have your own private space with a television, couch, refrigerator stocked with water, lounge chairs, a table and more. You can also order drinks and food from a waitress and get it delivered right to your cabana.
Although you aren’t allowed to bring food in, you are allowed to eat in the waterpark. There are plenty of food options the whole family can enjoy. If you are 21 and older, there is also a fully stocked bar for your enjoyment.
If you live close by and don’t need to stay overnight, day passes are available.
