Take to your family travel on four wheels with San Diego’s Gaslamp Skate Series, bringing summer vibes to the Gaslamp Quarter. Hosted by Sunset Roller Club, the skating is accompanied by DJ-spun hits from the 1970s, 80s, 90s and the 2000s.

Sunset Roller Club, popular on TikTok, started during the pandemic, beginning as an outlet for skaters and now a huge inclusive community of skaters across every level. They bring their tricks to the Gaslamp Quarter every Sunday, at 5th Avenue at Island, 5–8 p.m.

The event is open to skaters of all levels and ages, with costumes themed for each decade encouraged. Dance along to the DJ’s hits and check out skate tricks and routines from Sunset Roller Club.
Other events in the Gaslamp District this summer include live music on Thursdays, Piano-Monium every Saturday in August and the next Gaslamp Flicks screening this Friday, Aug. 5. The family-friendly showings include Lion King and Encanto.
