Looking forward to family vacation? Vidanta Riviera Maya is one of Mexico’s top resorts with more than 1,000 acres of paradise in the form of pools, beaches, bars, restaurants, a world-class golf course, rejuvenating spa, water park and resident Cirque du Soleil show. In short, it’s all your family needs for a memorable getaway.
“Vidanta Riviera Maya truly offers something for everyone and is a beloved destination for families,” said Norma Suarez, director, Vidanta Riviera Maya. “Many have made it a family tradition and come to Vidanta year after year so we have seen various generations grow up with fond memories of Vidanta.”
Here are a few things that make a stay here special:
A waterpark that’s so much more.
Jungala Aqua Experience offers the longest lazy river in Latin America, and a wave pool boasting waves up to 5 feet high. The dense jungle design and serene pathways of the park showcase the region’s geography and ecosystem, and never feel crowded. Wild rides include the Aqua Drop, Aqua Loop, Flatline Loop and Whizzard as well as family slides and a kids’ waterslide complex and Aqua Play Rain-Fortress. New dining options include salads, burgers, fish tacos, ceviche and grilled fish at One WavesShack, refreshing libations at Mojito Bendito, Sangria Bar and the Cocoyol Pool Bar. Don’t forget to hit the Bana Cabana Shop on the way out for clothing, crafts and souvenirs.
If your family seeks a VIP experience, they can recharge in the shade in a deluxe VIP cabana for up to four adults and two kids, with personalized service from a concierge, private pool, Champagne, fruit platter, light bites and even a sunglasses polisher.
An amazing Cirque du Soleil show.
For six years, Joyà has been dazzling audiences with its story, taking guests through the jungle, under the sea and through time. During the show acrobats flip and leap, contortionists bend into seemingly impossible positions, puppeteers animate dinosaurs and other creatures, musicians lend the accompanying soundtrack and even the stage seems to come alive. And it’s not just a performance, but also dinner theater. During a three-course menu your family will be treated to tableside magic as performers whiz past your table in an immersive culinary adventure.
Fun all day (and evening) courtesy of the Joy Squad.
Members of the activities team, dubbed the Joy Squad, have one job — to make sure you have fun! Take Zumba and salsa lessons, watch a flick on the beach, help baby sea turtles make it to the ocean, play water volleyball, partake in aqua aerobics, learn to speak Spanish, do some arts and crafts or even learn to make the best guacamole. Younger guests aged 5–11 will love dedicated weekly nighttime events at the Joy Center and Havana Moon Beach, such as Wednesday pajama parties with face painting, games, dinner and a movie; Thursday pirate night with an exciting treasure hunt exploration; and Friday night beach camp out for a toes-in-the-sand campfire and games.
The chance to stroll through an authentic recreation of a Mexican village.
Salum is the perfect bohemian village where guests and their families can immerse themselves in the local charm and heritage of the destination. Browse a festive marketplace for artisanal goods, tasting regional street food, hear live music and play traditional games.
