This May, Depot Days celebrates the history of the United States’ railroad capital, highlighting local attractions and festivities. This two-day event features speakers throughout Cheyenne Depot Museum, train displays and train rides, as well as local attractions like the world’s largest steam locomotive, train shows and more.
This fan favorite celebrates its 116th anniversary with live music and entertainment, livestock entertainment, a kids’ rodeo, pig wrestling, mutton busting, truck and tractor pulls, demo derby, agricultural activities and more.
This September, visit one of Cheyenne’s most popular and longest-running festivals. Taste authentic Greek food, wander through the flea market, enjoy Greek music and dancing, and more.

Honoring the city’s western roots at the world’s largest outdoor rodeo, Cheyenne Frontier Days returns for its 127thannual season. This 10-day event includes a PRCA tournament-style rodeo, USAF Thunderbirds, parades, pancake breakfasts, Western Art Show, carnival, Old West Museum, live concerts and immersive experiences with the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho indigenous tribes.
Also in September, Cheyenne Hispanic Festival celebrates various Hispanic cultures in the community, including Colombian, Peruvian, Cuban, Honduran, Guatemalan and other cultures. Featuring educational and cultural exhibits, food and craft vendors, art exhibits, live music and dance performances, this event works to remove cultural barriers through education, understanding and celebration.

The 18th annual Cheyenne Celtic Festival, June 10–11, celebrates Scottish heritage, complete with a full course of Bison Classic Highland games. Live music, dance performances, local craft and food vendors, and more await.
End of the Trail Kite Festival
Sept. 30 sees the End of the Trail Kite Festival, where amateur and professional kite flyers join for an afternoon of high-flying kites, local craft and food vendor markets, live entertainment and interactive programs on all things kites.
Street Railways Fright-Seeing Tours
Get into the spirit for Halloween with this spooky trolley, where passengers learn about the haunted history and ghost activity present throughout the city. Tours run through the month of October.

Hell on Wheels Rodeo & Chuck Wagon Dinner Series
Running June 9 and 30, July 7 and 14, Aug. 25 and Sept. 8, this year’s Hell on Wheels Rodeo & Chuck Wagon Dinner Series features slow-cooked, local fare from 3LazyR Chuck Wagon. Wyoming’s fiercest competitors make an appearance before showcasing rodeo talent, with everything from bull riding to riding bareback to breakaway roping.
Downtown Cheyenne transforms into a winter wonderland with Old West Holiday, in which Santa’s favorite workshops emerge. Other seasonal features include the Old West Holiday Pony Express Stop, Mrs. Claus’ cookies and Santa’s Saloon. A Christmas parade and other holiday festivities also comprise this winter event.
