Not sure where to take your next family trip? Lawn Love recently ranked 2023’s Best Cities for Kid-Friendly Vacations in order to help families decide the perfect destination for keeping kids entertained.

Lawn Love compared 200 of the biggest U.S. cities while looking at family-friendly accommodations, attractions and restaurants. Transportation options, affordability and safety were also among the key metrics analyzed.

The top five best cities for kid-friendly vacations are:

  1. New York City, New York
  2. Orlando, Florida
  3. Miami, Florida
  4. Las Vegas, Nevada
  5. Chicago, Illinois

The report notes just how much awaits in New York City, including the highest number of kid-friendly attractions. Grab a slice of pizza before strolling through one of the city’s many museums, zoos or parks. If walking around those attractions doesn’t tire kids out, head to one of the 1,900 playgrounds in the city.

Orlando, Florida, comes in at No. 2, shining with the most family-friendly accommodations and the most water parks for visitors to cool down while soaking up the hot Florida sun. The beautiful city also comes in second for its number of both kid-friendly attractions and theme parks — not to mention the most magical place on Earth, Walt Disney World.

The Sunshine State is also ranked later in the list with Miami (third), Tampa (sixth) and Fort Lauderdale (15th).

Although Las Vegas is typically known for its nightlife, casinos and adults-only attractions, it comes in fourth on the list as a kid-friendly spot. As Entertainment Capital of the World, there are plenty of things to do in Las Vegas for kids. Vegas ties with Orlando for having the second-highest number of amusement and theme parks. The city also offers zoos, water parks and kid-friendly dining options.

United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.
