Destinations / North America

Baltimore’s Inner Harbor is surrounded by activities and attractions to keep families busy for several days, and for those who travel to get there, a trio of nearby hotels welcome children with amenities such as swimming pools, kid-sized bathrobes and bunk beds.

Spacious suites at Hampton Inn & Suites Baltimore Inner Harbor feature pull-out sofas, and the hotel has an indoor swimming pool. Hot breakfast for the whole family is included in the room rate and, on weekdays, you can get breakfast to go.

Contemporary rooms at Days Inn by Wyndham Baltimore Inner Harbor include microwaves, refrigerators and coffeemakers, all handy for families. Even better, children under 18 stay free. An on-site convenience store and an outdoor swimming pool are added conveniences.

The 400-square-foot Pullman Suites at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore Inner Harbor can sleep up to six people in two double beds and two bunk beds in a separate room (with its own flat-screen TV). Kids get welcome gifts and child-sized bathrobes in colorful animal designs.

These hotels are within an easy walk of Inner Harbor highlights, including the National Aquarium and a collection of historic ships you can tour. These include the submarine USS Torsk, a U.S. Coast Guard Cutter and the three-masted sailing ship USS Constellation. Baseball fans will want to tour iconic Oriole Park at Camden Yards and visit the nearby Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum. At the other side of the harbor, kids will love Maryland Science Center,  filled with hands-on experiments and experiences.

Neos Airlines Provides Amenity Kits for Kids

Children’s programming and games are standard on most transcontinental flights, and Neos Airlines is no exception. While the Italian carrier is relatively new to the U.S. market, launching its first New York (JFK)–Milan (MXP) flights in 2021, it now counts Rome (FCO); Palermo (PMO); and Bari, Puglia (BRI) (as of June 2025) as destinations from New York. It has also established a niche as an affordable carrier with premium attributes and a soft spot for family travelers.
