Listicles

Keep yourself and the family fit and healthy this holiday season with a few helpful apps. Between the busy holiday season, heaping food and dessert options and constant travel, it can be difficult to fit in something for your health and wellbeing. Download these apps and stay on track with the whole family.

Asana Rebel

For yoga-inspired fitness, Asana Rebel provides an array of low-impact workouts promoting full-body toning, body fat reduction, increased energy and an overall sense of calm. Bring your iPad or set the app up on your phone and have a few moments to yourself or with the family this holiday season. With a mix of cardio bursts, focused strengthening and flexibility training incorporated into every workout, Asana improves physical fitness on a holistic level.

Fitocracy

Begin the Fitocracy program with an expert fitness assessment and nutritional plan. Engage the kids and see if they’re interested in the nutritional aspect. In a hands-off way, let the kids adapt and develop healthy habits and stay motivated while away with the app’s accountability tools. Workouts are customized individually per user. Enjoy free exercises or hire a coach for $1 per day. You can share the app with the family and workout together, or download separately and engage in a little friendly competition for motivation.

Strava

Increase your fitness level by competing against other athletes with Strava. Set up a few workouts over the course of your stay and see if the kids would like to join. This app is ideal for outdoor athletes, so it’s a great excuse to get outside with the kids. Allow your activity to be posted publically, motivating others and keeping users accountable. Check the training log and history analysis to compare cycling times with strangers or increase run times against your best time. Inspire the kids and go for a run together — it’s a great way to connect over your short break together.

MyFitness Pal with Map My Run

Keep yourself, friends and family accountable with the free app, MyFitness Pal. Logging meals may be difficult between holiday dinners, but your activity can be synced with Map My Run or manually. The apps work seamlessly together by automatically syncing exercise tracked on Map My Run into the current food diary on MyFitness Pal. See if the kids want to create accounts too and connect using the app while home or away.

Interior Upgrades Begin Rolling Out Across United Fleet

United Airlines is in the midst of a major initiative to modernize its fleet over the next several years. After first announcing the plan in 2021, planes fitted with United’s signature interior are finally beginning to appear across the airline’s narrowbody fleet of Boeing and Airbus planes. United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.
