First opened in 1909, Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium is home to nearly 10,000 animals. The zoo features exhibits including Polar Bear Passage, Botswana, Congolese Rainforest, Australia, Tiger Trail and KidZone. The KidZone includes a sea lion pool and three daily bird feedings kids can take part in. Visit the country’s official war memorial and museum dedicated to World War I. The museum covers various aspects of the war, as well as events leading up to the war and the effects after. Exhibits include international propaganda posters, replica trenches, maps and photographs, and sound booths with audio recordings from the war.
