With spring around the corner, consider planning family travel to witness spring bloom across the United States and Canada. Away Holidays released a list of hot spots, along with the best times to visit.

Washington, D.C.

Head to our nation’s capital in late March through early April and experience stunning cherry blossoms celebrated at the annual National Cherry Blossom Festival.

Skagit Valley, Washington

Make your way to Skagit Valley throughout the month of April for tulip blooms and spring activities.

Texas Hill Country

Texas Hill Country boasts beautiful bluebonnets, with blooms beginning in mid-April. Be sure to stop at the Bluebonnet Trails in Ennis, Texas.

Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve

This park in California comes alive in late April with spectacular hues of orange poppy blooms.

Victoria, British Columbia

Visit Victoria’s popular Butchart Gardens in late April and witness an array of tulips, daffodils and azaleas.

Holland, Michigan

You don’t need to travel overseas to view beautiful tulip blooms! Visit Holland in early May for the annual Tulip Time Festival.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

This park is home to more than 1,500 species of wildflowers. Visit during May for peak wildflower blooms.

“Spring is a magical time to travel, with destinations around the world bursting into life,” said Gianne Leonne, senior product director, Away Holidays. “To ensure you experience the beauty of these blooms at their peak, plan your trips early or try to find a slightly lesser-known spot to explore!”
